Smokin'

Although I'm typically a no-makeup gal I'm finding that a swipe of bright lipstick makes me feel fancy. This is my new (first?) favorite shade of red: MAC Ruby Woo - B11. It's not moisturizing (so beware if your lips are dry) but is super long lasting! I'm almost tempted to venture out into girl-world...

I've never really worn lipstick either but am all of a sudden feeling like I'm missing out on a great secret. The problem is the last tube I bought here in Brazil was like a jokey clown shade, so I'm stick-less right now. Good to know that there's something good out there though! fancy indeed.

I spent the better part of yesterday afternoon at our local Sephora, and I can't believe how fun it is to look at shiny, glittery, colorful tubes of pretty.

I'm not one to wear much makeup, and I definitely don't spend much on makeup, but I do love a good tinted moisturizer (probably don't need much moisturizer in Memphis) and some lip goodies. I currently love Black Honey from Clinique, a nice red lipstick I picked up from Target, and Rosebud Salve by Smith.

Are you dry, my dear? Please say yes. XO

Ruby Woo would be good on you -- it has blue undertones. I prefer Russian Red, which is a bit on the orange side. But now I am wearing Viva Glam I, which is like the best shade of Winona Ryder circa 1994 you've ever seen.
